NEW 16" ARTISAN
SOLD
here at buscarino guitars I am always experimenting with my designs and tonal structures to make sure I am building the best possible sounding and looking guitars i can. we all love the smaller size of a 16" archtop, its more compact design makes it lighter and easier to play and hold. what we don't like is the slightly less acoustic volume and softer bass response than from its big brother the 17". I have been trying to figure out hot to get a little more punch in the bass and volume for the 16" without having it too bulky in the body. My solution was to make the body bigger towards the bottom of the GUITAR but keep the sides towards the upper bout slimmer for comfort. This particular guitar has tapered sides, the bottom of the body is 3 5/8" and tapers towards the upper bout to 3 1/8". Its super comfortable to play and better yet you get increased VOLUME and a nice boost in the bass register. I found a really nice carpathian spruce top with lots of bear claw and a very interesting piece of Flame maple that has lots of curl in it. From looks, to tone, to playability this guitar has it all!
