EASTMAN CABARET
SOLD
eastman contacted me with the express interest in building my cabaret model carved back nylon string guitar. i worked closely for 2 years with their people to produce a guitar that was a proper REPRESENTATION of the guitar i build by hand and one that i could be proud of. This being a somewhat unique Classical design because of the carved back and the cutaway I had always hoped I could find a way to get more of these guitars in the hands of classical and fingerstyle players. Being a small custom builder I can only make 20 to 30 guitars a year and I have several other models besides this one to build. Eastman provided a way for me to have more of my cabaret models out in the world and for this i am grateful. all eastman cabarets that are sold by me from my shop are meticulously set up, intonated and tweaked until they are playing at their very best. For THis one I intonated the saddle, dressed the frets, adjusted the nut height, and restrung with Labella 2001 strings. Shims are included so you can adjust the action height as needed. i UPGRADED TO 18:1 TUNERS WITH BLACK aLUMINUM ROLLERS AND ROLLER BEARINGS. i HAVE ALSO upgraded the pickup on this one to the james may ultra tonic pickup with a shielded volume control for its superior acoustic tone and natural sound. I have been using this pickup as of late for the cabarets built in my shop and i am just in love with the tonal quality and the NATURALNESS this pickup provides. the body is a european flame maple stained a rich brown sunburst and the sides are tapered for comfort. by having the lower bout deeper you get a nice bass boost. this guitar is beautifully balanced and has a rich warm tone with those bell like trebels we all love so much.
